Hi. My name is Alex. I like the color yellow and daisies and socks and sugar and spice and everything nice. I am also cursed.
I'll give you a moment to take that in.
Not in a Friday the 13th, 'the ghosts of the dead will come to haunt me and drag me away by my ankles while I scrabble at my floor boards screaming "I'M SORRY!!! I'M SORRY!!! I SHOULDN'T HAVE EATEN THE LAST OF THE ICE CREAM!!!"' kind of way (by the way, I've never seen Friday the 13th, so this may be totally inaccurate). More in a pathetic 'Every time I have attempted to do anything interesting it has been DEVIOUSLY FOILED by some higher power and maybe it’s useless anyway and I should just resign myself to my fate and sit around in front of the telly all day,’ kind of way.
Backstory; once upon a time, I met Annabel (who is the person who has been putting up all of the last posts- thanks Annabel!). It didn't take long for us to discover that we are, in fact, the same person. As the same person, our natural first instinct was to start a blog together. So we did, and we called it 10% hilarity, and we laughed at our own jokes because we thought we were being really witty, and it was a rollicking good time. But, then, disaster struck- the evil bureaucrats that control this website deleted our precious blog!
Actually, that's a lie. What really happened is I deleted my gmail account by accident. Awkward.
And then, Annabel, sunshine, light of my life, was wonderful enough to re-create the blog. She dutifully re-posted all of the old stuff, re-designed the background, etc, etc.
And then I don't even know what happened, but next thing I knew, the blog was deleted again. I believe my reaction was something along the lines of ‘Um… what the....what?' or something equally eloquent. Anyhow, after much ado, we finally got the blog back up and running. Hopefully this time it won't be mysteriously deleted.
Anyhow, below you will find all of Annabel's old posts (because unlike me, she was smart and saved them). All of mine were lost, sadly, and I'll probably re-write them at some point, or maybe not, due to my pervasive lethargy.
